SpiceJet Launches 32 New Domestic, International Flights for Winter Schedule

Budget carrier SpiceJet on Monday said it has launched 32 new flights for the winter schedule, including 30 domestic and two international flights, beginning October 27, 2024. The two international flights will include the Delhi-Phuket route with daily non-stop service.

The domestic flights for the winter schedule will feature new routes, including four new flights from Mumbai to Patna, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Goa. The airline will connect Patna to Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Bengaluru; Chennai to Port Blair and Pune; Delhi to Phuket, Amritsar, Gorakhpur and Kolkata to Port Blair, according to SpiceJet.

Debojo Maharshi, chief business officer of SpiceJet, said, “We are delighted to announce the addition of 32 new flights to our network. This expansion reflects our commitment to providing seamless connectivity, affordable air travel and an enhanced customer experience to our passengers. With improved schedules and increased frequencies, we aim to deliver greater reliability and convenience, ensuring our passengers reach their destinations efficiently.”

As the company continues to grow its fleet and operations, SpiceJet will be adding more flights in the coming weeks, the airline added.

SpiceJet has announced the induction of 10 planes to its fleet by November. The airline announced commencement of new UDAN flights connecting Shivamogga in Karnataka with Chennai and Hyderabad, starting from October 10, 2024. SpiceJet also launched a double daily flight service connecting the key cities of Chennai and Kochi, the increased frequency catering to the high demand for travel between these two important destinations.

As SpiceJet accelerates its fleet ungrounding process, the airline anticipates adding even more flights in the coming weeks to further cater to passenger needs.

Spicejet recently raised Rs 2,500 through QIP. Following this, it paid off much of its dues, including PF dues, salary dues, and GST dues, apart from settlements.
