As the video proceeded, one of the riders got down and theatrically covered the victim’s face with a cloth, pretending to sedate him. They dragged his seemingly unconscious body onto their bike and pretended to flee the scene, leaving onlookers shocked and bewildered.
However, the group got into trouble as the locals around them blocked their path and stopped the bike. Some onlookers even began to film the whole incident. The locals prevented the kidnappers from leaving the scene as the man argued with them.
When questioned, the group pointed them towards the camera and called their friend to show the people that this was all staged for an Instagram reel. Moments later, the trio was seen laughing loudly as they explained the whole situation to locals.

The post read, “In Muzaffarnagar, UP, 4 boys were shooting a kidnapping reel. The police caught all the four reel boys. Their names are Gulsher, Monish, Sadiq, and Samad.”
Soon enough, the video went viral, garnering the attention of more than 73,000 views. The share also prompted a sea of reactions, with a majority of users lashing out at the four men for staging a fake kidnapping. X Users were enraged by the antics and asked UP Police to take strict action against them.
Another user commented, “Now they will make reels in jail for a few days, editing and uploading will be done from there only.”

An account remarked, “All of them are spreading filth in the society in the name of reel. This will send the wrong message to the society! UP police should punish them properly.”
Before their arrest, CO Khatauli Ramashish Yadav said, “Today, a video went viral on social media showing three boys filming a fake kidnapping in a public place in Khatauli town. The video caused panic among the locals, and now the police are working on identifying the boys involved in the video. Legal action would be initiated against the group of men following their identification,” reported the Hindustan Times.
The group later edited the video adding the Mirzapur TV series theme song in the background and shared it online. As soon as the video went viral, the police launched an investigation, resulting in their arrest.
