In order to provide relief to passengers, seats in LHB Second Luggage Guard and Divyang Compartment (LSLRD) coaches of fully reserved trains (such as Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Humsafar, among others), such as the Duronto Express, will also be reserved.
According to the Railway Board’s decision, these coaches will be classified as sleepers. Divyangjan and his companion will occupy four seats, and the remaining seats will be designated for general passengers as General Chair Car (2S).
Food will be available in LSLRD, much like in other coaches. As a result of the Railway Board’s decision, thirty to forty general category passengers will also have confirmed seats in reserved trains. No one will be fighting for seats.
Railway Board Director (Passenger Marketing – Second) Sanjay Manocha has addressed a letter to the Principal Chief Commercial Managers (PCCMs) of all the zonal railways and gave the required directives for adopting this method.

The Railway Board’s Director has instructed in a letter that reserved seats be provided to passengers in LSLRD coaches, and to ensure catering arrangements, so that passengers can acquire food and drinks in addition to their assigned seats.
The new arrangement states that the disabled will be given two lower seats in the four-seat portion of the LSLRD carriages, while their partners will be given the two higher seats. DD-1 will be used to identify these coaches.
