In the footage, the woman can be seen confronting the e-rickshaw driver aggressively. She grabs him by the neck while another woman, dressed in a saree, tries to intervene and stop the fight. The driver, visibly trying to defend himself, attempts to push the woman away to avoid her attacks. The second woman then places her bag on the road and continues her attempts to break off the fight. Meanwhile, the first woman intensifies the situation by removing one of her slippers which she then uses to hit the driver. The woman trying to intervene can even be heard urging the other to stop the altercation.
At one point during the video, the e-rickshaw driver notices someone filming the incident and tells him, “Haan haan bana lo video (Go ahead and record the video).” As the woman continues to shout at him, the driver responds, “Haan ab tum maaro (Hit me now).” She angrily replies, “Gaali dega? (Are you abusing me?)” The video ends with the driver asking those around to call the police.
The footage, shared on X by journalist Himanshu Tyagi, caught the attention of Lucknow Police. Responding through their official account, they stated, “Both parties are present at Aminabad police station, necessary action is being taken.”
Since the video surfaced online, it has sparked a flood of reactions from social media users, with the comments section filled with varied opinions.
One user commented, “E-rickshaw drivers behave very rudely with the passengers in Lucknow. Secondly, if they see that a woman or girl is sitting in the car, they start playing vulgar songs.”

Another added, “In Lucknow, the hooliganism of e-rickshaw drivers is at its peak because neither they nor their rickshaws have any registration. There is always a crowd at major crossings and this is often the reason for traffic jams in the city. If you say anything to them, they beat you up. And an interesting thing is that most of these drivers are minors.”
“Dear Olympics committee, please give Indian women a Gold medal in boxing. They deserve it 100%,” someone else sarcastically wrote.
Another said, “Now men have no respect in this country. Even if a woman is at fault, the man will suffer the punishment.”
The video has amassed over 90,000 views so far.
