Dhanteras 2024: The festival of Diwali begins with Dhanteras, which is dedicated to the worship of Lord Dhanvantari, Lord Kuber, and Goddess Lakshmi. This year, Dhanteras will be celebrated on October 29, 2024. Traditionally, it is considered auspicious to purchase valuable items such as gold, silver, vehicles, utensils, accounting books, property, and electronic goods on this day. The blessings of Goddess Lakshmi are believed to be attracted by these purchases.
Importance Of Buying Utensils On Dhanteras:
Dhanteras is also known as Dhantrayodashi, as it commemorates the day Lord Dhanvantari emerged with the pot of nectar during the churning of the ocean. To honor this occasion, people purchase metal utensils.
