According to an announcement by India Post on the social media platform X, post offices are now equipped to provide Aadhaar-related services, prioritizing public convenience. Individuals can visit their nearest post office to update their Aadhaar card details. The fees for these services will be the same as those charged at Aadhaar centers, ensuring no additional costs.

The Government of India has rolled out Aadhaar enrollment and update services through its Postal Division. As per the official website of the Postal Department, post offices now offer two primary Aadhaar services:

Aadhaar Enrollment: This involves electronically capturing biometric information such as fingerprints and iris scans. The process is entirely free.

Aadhaar Update : Individuals can update their name, email ID, mobile number, address, date of birth, biometric data, photo, fingerprints, and iris scans.

India Post has set up 13,352 Aadhaar enrollment and update centers across the country. To find the post office nearest to you that offers these services, visit the India Post website at https://www.indiapost.gov.in.
