Rising Temperatures Return to Delhi NCR
In Delhi NCR, rising temperatures have caused daytime heat to return, despite the cooler early October weather. The IMD predicts a cold wave could hit parts of India by October 25, with today’s maximum temperature expected to reach 34°C and the minimum around 19°C. The weather is likely to remain clear in the region for the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been placed on orange alert, with heavy rainfall expected today, October 20. Other states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Konkan, are under a yellow alert for rain. The downpour is expected to bring a slight chill to these regions.

From October 21 to 25, the IMD has issued additional warnings for heavy rainfall in areas like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Maharashtra. The orange alert for Andaman and Nicobar Islands remains in place during this period.
