Mahindra Unveils Scorpio Classic Boss Edition to Boost Festive Sales | Check Full Details

Mahindra is set to enhance its market presence with the upcoming Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, aiming to increase sales during the festive season. Following the launch of the new Scorpio N in June 2022, which was expected to replace the old Scorpio, the classic model has continued to perform well in the market.

Scorpio Classic Boss Pricing and Variants

The Scorpio Classic is offered in two variants: the base Classic S priced at Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom) and the feature-rich Scorpio Classic S11 at Rs 17.42 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite plans for a new S5 trim that never came to fruition, Mahindra is focusing on the Boss Edition to cater to its core demographic.

Unique Features of the Boss Edition

“The Boss Edition is highly likely to resonate with target buyers and is expected to garner a good reception,” Mahindra representatives noted. The Boss Edition will be available exclusively in a Napoli Black shade and will include several distinctive features.

Prominent changes include a generous use of dark chrome around the front grille, headlights, fog lights, bonnet scoop, door handles, and rear tail lights. Additional enhancements consist of a front bumper extender and a silver skid plate, while the ORVMs will sport a unique carbon fibre finish.

Interior Comfort and Technology

Accessories included with the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition are door visors and a rear bumper protector. Inside, the vehicle features a black theme for seat upholstery, complemented by a dual-tone Black and Beige dashboard. The package will also offer neck cushions and pillows for added comfort. Notable features include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a rear parking camera, automatic climate control, and cruise control.

Specifications and Competition

The standard Scorpio Classic comes in five color options: Red Rage, Napoli Black, Dsat Silver, Pearl White, and Galaxy Grey. It is equipped with LED projector lamps, fog lamps, and DRLs, along with signature tower tail lamps and 17-inch wheels featuring a dual-tone finish.

Scorpio Classic Boss Engine Specification

Inside, the Scorpio Classic provides three seating configurations, including two 7-seater options with either bench or captain seats in the second row and a 9-seater option with a bench in the second row and jump seats for four at the rear.

Under the hood, the Scorpio Classic is powered by a Gen 2 mHawk 2.2L diesel engine, delivering 130 hp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Positioned below the new Scorpio N, the Classic is set to compete with other compact SUVs in its segment as Mahindra seeks to solidify its market share.
