Jeevan Pramaan is a digital life certificate for pensioners that utilizes biometric data linked to their Aadhaar number. This certificate can be obtained by individual pensioners from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for them to physically visit the banks.
A pensioner is not required to appear in person before the Pension Disbursing Officer in order to get JeevanPramaan (DLC). DLC is available to the Pension Disbursing Agency digitally and is processed automatically by them, thus it is not necessary for them to receive it physically (at a bank, post office, etc.). Moreover, every DLC has a distinct ID known as the Pramaan-Id.
