Eight coaches, including the power car and engine, of the Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express derailed at Dibalong station in Assam’s Dima Hasao district on Thursday afternoon. Fortunately, no fatalities or major injuries were reported, and all passengers are safe, according to Northeast Frontier Railway officials.

The derailment occurred at 3:55 p.m., and the cause is under investigation. Passengers will be transferred to a separate rake to continue their journey, but restoration efforts are expected to take time due to the difficult terrain.
