The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and South Interior Karnataka from 15 to 17 October. An orange alert has been issued for these three states, as well as Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, indicating the likelihood of extremely heavy showers.
Rainfall Warning for Southern India
Intense rainfall is expected between 15 and 16 October in Karaikal and Puducherry. Mahe and Kerala are forecast to receive very heavy rains from 15 to 17 October. Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka will experience similar weather during this period, while Yanam and Coastal Andhra Pradesh are expected to be impacted from 15 to 16 October. Additionally, Lakshadweep is likely to see heavy rainfall from 17 to 18 October.

Weather Forecast for Western and Central India
In Western and Central India, moderate showers are forecast for Gujarat, Goa, and Konkan over the next two days. Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha will experience similar weather throughout the week. Heavy rain is predicted for Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Konkan on 15 October.

According to the latest IMD bulletin, no major rainfall activity is expected in Eastern, Northwest, and Northeast India throughout the week.
