Prime Minister Internship Scheme: Monthly Stipend Of Rs 5,000 – Check Eligibility And Other Details

The Prime Minister Internship Scheme has officially opened for applications, with a dedicated portal launching for registration. The internship programme is designed for individuals aged 21 to 24, this initiative aims to provide valuable work experience across various sectors. The pilot project, with an estimated budget of Rs 800 crore, is set to begin internships on December 2.

The scheme was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the Union Budget 2024, the scheme will be managed through the online platform www.pminternship.mca.gov.in, created by the ministry.

In a significant boost, the portal has recently listed over 80,000 internship opportunities across 24 industries, including oil, gas, energy, travel, hospitality, and automotive. Successful interns will receive monthly financial support of Rs 5,000 for up to 12 months, along with a one-time grant of Rs 6,000, aimed at facilitating their professional development and enhancing employability.

-led government to ensure the skilling of our youth, which will enhance their employability.

· It will provide an opportunity to do an internship in the Top 500 companies in India for 12 months and learn from the best.

· There will be an allowance of Rs 5000/- per month and Rs 6000/- as a one-time grant.

· PM Internship Portal will go live for the registration of candidates from 5.00 PM today.

· Candidates can register themselves on the portal through: https://pminternship.mca.gov.in

· The portal ensures efficient access to internships across sectors with Aadhaar-based registration and tools like bio-data generation.
