The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning across 10 states till October 16, with several regions expected to experience intense downpours. According to the IMD, the Southwest monsoon is likely to withdraw from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand within the next two days. However, heavy rainfall is expected to continue in several states, particularly in South Peninsular India.

Karnataka will also witness rainfall till October 14, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala could see isolated very heavy downpours on October 13 and 14.
In West India, isolated heavy rainfall is likely in the Konkan, Goa, and Gujarat regions today (October 13). Saurashtra and Kutch will likely receive rains today.

Meanwhile, the weather in Delhi is expected to remain clear until October 16, with maximum temperatures around 35°C. The air quality index (AQI) stood at 114 in the ‘moderate’ category for the capital and 57 in the ‘satisfactory’ range for Mumbai, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
