NEET SS 2024: NBEMS Announces Changes To Super Specialty Exam Pattern, Check Latest Updates

NEET SS 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 29 and March 30, 2025

The National Board of Examination Medical Science (NBEMS) has updated the examination pattern of the National Eligibility Entrance Test – Super Specialty (NEET SS). According to the official notification released by the NBEMS, two changes in the scheme of the NEET SS 2024 exams have been introduced. The updates in the exam scheme are as follows

1. For admissions to DM/DrNB Medical Oncology, there will be a separate question paper group (Medical Oncology Group). The questions in the paper of this group will be exclusively from the topics of medical oncology.

2. For admissions to DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine, there will be a separate question paper group (Critical Care Medicine Group). The questions in the paper of this group will be exclusively from the topics of critical care medicine.

The board in the official notification said that the pattern of the NEET SS 2024 examination will remain the same for all groups except the above-mentioned changes.

“The prior entry eligible feeder qualifications for admissions to DM/MCh/DrNB courses shall be strictly by Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 and any clarification/amendments issued from NMC time to time in this regard.” read the notification of the NBEMS.

NEET SS 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 29 and March 30, 2025. The NEET SS exam single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to DM, or MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, as no other exam even at the state level or institutional will be considered valid to allow candidates entry in these courses.
