Step 1: Gather Required Documents

Before starting the process, ensure you have at least one of the following documents to support your name change:

  • Any other acceptable identity proof

Step 2: Visit the UIDAI Website

Step 4: Log In to Your Account

  1. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
  2. Complete the CAPTCHA verification.
  3. Click on “Send OTP” to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.
  4. Enter the OTP and log in.

Step 5: Select the Name Change Option

  1. Once logged in, select the option to update your name.
  2. Fill in the new name as per the document you are providing.

Step 6: Upload Supporting Documents

  1. Upload a scanned copy of the document that supports your name change.
