The tests were conducted by recognized FSSAI-approved laboratories, ensuring that the prasad prepared at the Mahakaleshwar Temple adheres to the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta, while sharing the news, confirmed that the prasad was tested across 13 different parameters, covering its ingredients and overall safety for consumption.

The Laddu Prasad, made using four main ingredients—pure ghee, gram flour, rava (semolina), and sugar—passed all the safety checks. Gupta emphasised that the key ingredient is pure ghee, with around 40 metric tonnes being used daily to prepare the prasad. This ghee is produced by Ujjain Milk Union, a state government cooperative institution, further bolstering its credibility.
