Delhi: Traffic To Be Effected In Southwest Delhi Till Oct 20; Check Diversions, Alternate Routes

Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory warning of traffic restrictions in southwest Delhi’s Old Kakrola Road. The traffic in the area will be affected from October 6 to 20 due to repair work.  The repairs will disrupt movement along the Tura Mandi Chowk-Shyam Vihar Chowk-Najafgarh drain stretch, leading to varied traffic restrictions based on the affected road section.

Commuters travelling from Najafgarh to Tura Mandi Chowk and Dwarka are advised to use alternative routes, including the main Najafgarh-Uttam Nagar Road until Dwarka More or the Najafgarh-Kapashera Road.

Those travelling from Dwarka towards Tura Mandi Chowk and Najafgarh should divert to Old Palam Road to connect with the main Uttam Nagar-Najafgarh Road. Additionally, diversions will be implemented from Shyam Vihar Chowk as needed.

In a separate advisory, the police announced that traffic on Ring Road will also be impacted due to the ongoing construction of a flyover near the Bharat Darshan Park signal, along with an underpass project from the Punjabi Bagh roundabout to Raja Garden. This work is expected to lead to single-lane traffic for the next seven to eight days. Commuters heading from Britannia Flyover to Moti Nagar are advised to use the Punjabi Bagh Flyover.

Additionally, due to DMRC construction, GTK Road from Shakti Nagar Chowk to Ghantaghar will remain closed, with traffic from Azadpur diverted left towards Khalsa College.
