Bihar’s Chief Minister writes to PM Modi
Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, has penned a request to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the need for a new Vande Bharat train line that would link Sitamarhi in Bihar to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. This proposal seeks to benefit the faithful who journey between two sacred religious locations: the Punaura Dham Janki Mandir in Sitamarhi and the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. For the many followers who hold these sites dear, Ayodhya is known as the birthplace of Goddess Sita, and Kumar asserts the high religious value of both places thanks to the large number of devotees who pay regular visits. He therefore underlines the essential urgency of providing enhanced travel options to cater to these pilgrims’ needs.
