Hardik Pandya is part of the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team, which is set to take on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series starting on October 6.
The Indian men’s cricket team will face Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, which is set to start on Sunday (October 6) in Gwalior. Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host the second T20I on October 6, and the last match is scheduled to take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 12. Suryakumar Yadav will lead India in the shortest format series, and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is also part of the 15-member squad.
During the three-match T20I series, Hardik, who has 86 wickets to his name in 102 matches played so far, will have a chance to create multiple bowling records. If the 30-year-old cricketer manages to dismiss at least five batters in the series, then he will break Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record of 90 wickets and become India’s most successful pacer in T20Is.
The overall record of taking most wickets for India in T20Is is in the name of Yuzvendra Chahal. The member of the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning team has accounted for the dismissal of 96 batters in 80 matches played so far. Hardik, who made his T20I debut for India in January 2016 against Australia, needs 11 wickets to break Chahal’s record and become India’s most successful bowler in the shortest format of the game.
Hardik has played five T20Is against Bangladesh so far, and in that he has managed to dismiss six batters. If he takes at least four wickets in the upcoming three matches, then he will become the most successful bowler in T20I matches between India and Bangladesh.

He is all set to lead India’s pace attack and will have rookies Harshit Rana and Mayank Yadav for support. Both Mayank and Harshit made big names for themselves in the IPL 2024 but are yet to play any matches for Men in Blue.
