The 24-carat gold rate in India was Rs 76,140 per 10 grams on October 4. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,614. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 69,795 per 10 grams.
The rate of 24-carat gold has fallen by 0.63% in the last one week, and the yellow metal has risen by 1.63% in the last ten days. The silver is currently quoted at Rs 92,770 per kilogram.

Experts on Gold Outlook
Commenting on the gold outlook Praveen Singh – Associate VP, Fundamental Currencies and Commodities, Sharekhan by BNP Paribas said that Gold is under pressure on rebounding US yields and firmer Dollar as the US ADP data released yesterday came in at 143K Vs the forecast of 120K. Fed’s Barking leaning towards 25 bps rate cut in his yesterday’s speech and lack of any major escalations in Middle East after Iran firing ballistic missiles on Israel are also weighing on the metal.
Singh also added that Gold is expected to remain on defensive unless US ISM services data disappoint or there is fresh escalation in the ongoing Middle East conflict. The support is at $2620. Resistance is at $2675/$2685/$2700, with Buying the dips strategy will be the approach with a possible target of $2700 remains the preferred option in short term.
