Navratri 2024: Pune traffic police announces road closures and diversions from October 3-12 – Check details here

Vehicle movement from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk will be restricted, with an alternate route designated via Gadital Putala and Shivaji Road.

With Navratri starting on Friday, the Pune city traffic police have announced road closures, traffic modifications, and diversions in effect from October 3 to 12 due to the nine-day festival.

These changes primarily impact areas surrounding Chatushrungi Temple, Bhavani Mata Temple, and Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple, which are expected to attract large crowds. Despite the traffic adjustments, congestion during peak hours is still anticipated.

Vehicle movement from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk will be restricted, with an alternate route designated via Gadital Putala and Shivaji Road. However, one-way traffic will be allowed from Budhwar Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk.

The stretch from Ramoshi Gate Chowk to the Old Motor Stand on Mahatma Phule Road will be closed to traffic and declared a no-parking zone. Alternate routes have been identified via AD Camp Chowk and Bhagwan Bahubali Chowk.

PMPML bus routes from Ramoshi Gate have been diverted via Seven Loves Chowk and Golibar Maidan. For the no-parking area on Mahatma Phule Road, alternate parking spaces are provided on Pandit Nehru Road.

Vehicle entry from Ganpati Chowk to Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple will be restricted, with an alternate route via Sevasadan Chowk and Shaniwar Wada. No-parking zones have been designated around Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple, Ashtabhuja Devi Mandir, and Ashtabhuja Durga Mandir.

Due to the expected large crowd at Chatushrungi Temple on Senapati Bapat Road, the following traffic changes will be enforced as needed: Traffic from Patrakar Nagar Chowk to Senapati Bapat Junction will be diverted and made one-way via Shivaji Housing Junction. Traffic toward Chatushrungi Temple will be rerouted through Vetalbaba Chowk and Deep Bangla Chowk.

Vehicles coming from Veer Chapekar Chowk to Chatushrungi Temple can use the route via Suryamukhi Datta Mandir Chowk and Sanganna Dhotre Path to access the Polytechnic parking gate.
