Delhi Traffic Advisory Issued for 9 Days of Navratri

As mentioned earlier, the Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for the Delhiites on the occasion of Navratri , which will remain in place for all nine days. The advisory mentions the routes affected near the key temples and religious places and also carries general instructions for the public,

The advisory reads, “Navratras will be celebrated all over Delhi from 03.10.2024 to 13.10.2024. The main temples, which attract large gathering during Navratras celebration are as follows:- Jhandewalan Mandir, Shri Adhya Katyayani Shaktipith Mandir in Chattarpur and Kalkaji Mandir.”

Delhi Police Issues Traffic Advisory: Routes to Avoid

According to the advisory, the routes that must be avoided as they will remain affected due to the Navratri celebrations are –

Jhandewalan Mandir: Rani Jhansi Road both carriageways, Faiz Road, New Rohtak Road and DBG Road.

Shri Adhya Katyayani Shaktipith Mandir, Chattarpur: Chattarpur Mandir Road, CDR Chowk on MG Road, Mandi Village Cut on MG Road and Mandi Road, Andheriya Mor on MG Road, Anuvart Marg, 100 Foota Road, 60 Foota Road, Main Chattarpur Road, Y-Point.

Kalkaji Mandir: Outer Ring Road from Nehru Place to Modi Mill both carriageway.

Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory: Instructions to Public

  • People are advised to carefully plan their travel on these above mentioned Roads/Stretches with sufficient time at hand.
  • The commuters going to IGI Airport, New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway, Nizamuddin Railway Station and ISBT should leave with sufficient time at hand to accommodate possible delays on the route.
  • Avail public transport to help decongestion of roads.
  • Park your vehicles only at designated parking lots.Avoid roadside parking as it causes hindrance to normal flow traffic.
  • In case any unusual/unidentified object or person is noticed in suspicious circumstances, information should be given to the nearby Police Post, PCR Van or staff deployed on duty.
