Mukesh Ambani has once again taken a lead in the telecom industry and challenged his rivals by launching a new Jio Recharge plan.
In July, telecom giants Jio, Airtel, and Vi raised their mobile tariffs for both prepaid and postpaid users. They had hiked the price up to 15%. This led many customers to switch to BSNL, which offered more affordable recharge plans. To counter this mode of the market and retain customers, Jio introduced several budget-friendly recharge plans.
Once again Mukesh Ambani led Jio has come up with plans with different and unique features which gives unlimited calling, 2GB data and also free access to Jio Cinema, Jio TV, Jio cloud.

Jio Recharge Plan: Rs 899
The Rs 899 plan, on the other hand, offers 90 days of validity. It includes:
- 2GB of daily data
- Unlimited calling
- 100 free SMS per day
- An additional 20GB bonus data
- Unlimited 5G access in covered areas
This plan offers a total of 200GB of data over 90 days, which includes the daily data and bonus data.
Customers will also get access to Jio apps like Jio Cinema, Jio Cloud, and Jio Tv. However, the JioCinema premium is not included in the complementary JioCinema subscription.
Why Jio Rs 899 Recharge Plan Is Better?
Although the Rs 999 plan has a validity period of 98 days, it provides only 196GB of total data. In comparison to this, the Rs 899 plan offers validity of 90 days but provides 200GB of total data, which includes 20GB of bonus data.
For Rs 100 more, the Rs 999 plan offers 8 extra days of service but 4GB less data. But to match the data benefits of the Rs 899 plan, a user also needs to spend an additional Rs 98 to get the same 20GB bonus data. So overall the Rs 899 plan becomes a better deal.

While both plans offer similar features like unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day, the Rs 899 plan stands out as the better value due to its larger total data offering (200GB versus 196GB) and also because of 20GB bonus data at no extra cost.
