The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline to apply for the July 2024 admission cycle. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply for the online distance learning (ODL)/online courses until October 15 on the official website – ignou.ac.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Earlier the application was scheduled to be concluded on September 30, however, the University extended the date to apply for admission to various ODL/online programmes except for Semester bases and certificate courses.
“Extension of last date for July, 2024 Fresh Admission till 15th October, 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for July, 2024 session (except for Semester based & Certificate programmes),” IGNOU stated on X (formerly Twitter).
IGNOU July Admissions 2024: Application Fee
Students will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs 300 at the time of admission. Candidates must note that the registration fee is non-refundable. If the student rquests for cancellation after the confirmation of admission, an amount equivalent to 15% of the programme fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs.2,000/-, will be deducted from the fee paid.
Candidate Must have the following documents ready and scanned in the given dimensions to fill out the IGNOU Admission 2024 application form.
–Scanned photograph (less than 100 KB)
–Scanned signature (less than 100 KB)
–Scanned copy of relevant educational qualification (less than 200 KB)
–Scanned copy of experience certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
–Scanned copy of category certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link for New Registration
Step 3: Enter the basic registration details like Name, phone number etc
Step 4: Once registration is done, login with your Registered Username and Password
Step 5: Fill out the application form for your preferred course pay the application fee and submit.
Step 6: Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy for future reference.
