Indian Railways plans to introduce a sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express in the coming days, and preparations for this are in full swing.
New Delhi: The Vande Bharat Express is now operating in most of the states in India. Known for its speed and splendid hospitality, these premium trains have become the first choice of most of the passengers. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off more than half a dozen Vande Bharat Express trains, including the one running from Durg to Visakhapatnam. However, not every route is attracting the desired number of passengers. As per the latest report, the Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat train is running almost empty with over 80 percent of the seats running empty.

Vande Bharat Express: Secunderabad-Nagpur To Discontinue?
Owing to the poor response, the officials are likely to discontinue the operation of the Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express. The Vande Bharat train on this route was started on 16th September. However, railway officials have stated that if the passenger count remains low, the number of coaches will be reduced. At present, the train runs with 20 coaches, but this could be reduced to 8 coaches. In such a case, the number of seats would decrease by more than 500.
The Railway’s plan was to connect Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region with Ramagundam, Kazipet, and Secunderabad, so that the local population could benefit from business, family, or tourism-related travel.
