Solar eclipse is an astronomical event which holds religious significance in India. Solar eclipse occurs when Earth, Moon and Sun come in a straight line, leading to the obstruction of sunlight on Earth. According to Indian time, this solar eclipse will start from 9:13 pm on October 2 and conclude on October 3 at 3:17 am. The Hindu devotees take a bath after the solar eclipse ends.

Ayodhya astrologer Pandit Kalki Ram shared the date, time, and significance of donations after the solar eclipse in India.
Pandit Kalki Ram said that the last solar eclipse of the year will occur on the new moon day of Ashwin month i.e. October 2. According to Indian time, this solar eclipse will start on October 2 and conclude on October 3 at 3:17 am. This eclipse will not be visible in India. Hence, its Sutak period will also not be valid in India. Pandit Ram shared the practices and donations you can follow after the solar eclipse.

– After the solar eclipse is over, take a bath and do puja. Also, donate gram, wheat, jaggery and pulses to poor people according to your faith. It is a religious belief that by doing this, the person gets success in all his works and gets freedom from the effects of solar eclipse.
– Donating bananas, gram flour laddus and pedas is also considered auspicious after the solar eclipse ends. It is believed that following such practices, the person gets relief from all kinds of sorrows and pain. It also leads to an increase in happiness and prosperity in life.

– After the solar eclipse ends, you can donate red coloured clothes, milk and rice. Pandit Kalki Ram says that sweeping the house and purifying it by sprinkling Gangajal is a must activity after the conclusion of the Solar Eclipse. It is believed that by doing this work, the negative powers of the solar eclipse do not enter the house.
