SBI Green Deposit Special FD: Special fixed deposit (FD) schemes have their own charm. Banks issue them for limited edition but keep their interest rates higher than many of their traditional FDs, sparking interest among investors to invest and earn extra income. State Bank of India (SBI) too offers special FD schemes. SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit is one of them. SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit: What are interest rates for general citizens?
The SBI special FD has different interest rates for the retail and bulk categories.
In its retail category’s 1111-day and 1777-day schemes, general citizens get 6.65 per cent interest rate each. In the 2222-day FD, however, the interest rate is 6.15 per cent.
In the bulk category of the 1111-day and 1777-day FDs, general citizens get 6.40 per cent interest rate. The interest rate in the 2222-day FD is 6.15 per cent.

SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit: What are interest rates for senior citizens?
In the retail category, senior citizens get 7.15 per cent interest in the 1111-day and 1777-day FDs. They get 7.40 per cent interest in the 2222-day scheme.
In its bulk category, senior citizens get 6.90 per cent interest rate in the 1111-day and 1777-day schemes, whereas they get 6.65 per cent rate in the 2222-day FD.

The minimum investment in the special FD is Rs 1,000, while there is no maximum investment limit.
