Dividend stock: Shares of railway company – Jupiter Wagons – will likely gain investors’ attention in the upcoming month following the ex-date for a final dividend payment. The railway stock listed under BSE 500 will trade ex-date for a 10 per cent dividend payment. With the current face value of Rs 10, this translates to a dividend payment of Rs 1 equity per share.

As per BSE analytics, as of September 25, the stock has surged by a robust 50.01 per cent in the last six months.

The Kolkata-based company which manufactures coaches for the Indian Railways and many other private companies. Moreover, this is Jupiter Wagons’ first interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25.

Jupiter Wagons Dividend 2024 Record Date

Jupiter Wagons has fixed the record date on Monday, October 7, 2024, as per BSE.

This means the dividend will be paid to those shareholders whose names appear in the company’s book as of October 7.

At the time of writing this article, the stock was trading in the green at Rs 532.85 per share, up 1.53 per cent against the previous close of Rs 524.80 per share. At around 3:04 PM, the stock was trading in the range of Rs 536.50 and Rs 516.20 per share.

At around the same time, 1.04 lakh shares were changing hands againts the two weeks’ average quantity of 0.80 lakh shares.

As per BSE analytics, as of September 25, the railway stock has delivered multibagger returns of 623.64 per cent in the last two years, outperforming benchmark indices Sensex and BSE Industrials that gained 46.24 per cent and 144.90 per cent at the same period, respectively.

If we look at the stock’s long-term performance, it has delivered an impressive 1437.09 per cent return to its shareholders in the last three years. Additionally, the stock has surged by a massive 3290.20 and 2826.37 per cent in the last five and ten years. Meanwhile, it has declined by 18.92 per cent in the last three months.
