Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded lower as the index was down 48 points or 0.18% at 25,935 indicating a negative start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Wednesday. Previously, on Tuesday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 1.35 points or 0.01% higher at 25,940, while the BSE Sensex fell 14.57 points or 0.02% to close at 84,914.04.

Stocks to watch on September 25, 2024

Dabur India

The Burmans, promoters of consumer goods major Dabur, have withdrawn from the race to acquire around 40% stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), the bottling arm of Coca-Cola India, over valuation differences, sources told FE.

Infosys

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is considering modifying its June 26, 2024 circular, which could pave the way for quashing the entire Goods and Service Tax liability of Infosys for its business-as-usual fund transfers to overseas branches, according to an official source. The change would enable the expunging of the tax burden on the firm and others who received similar notices, even in cases where “exempt services’ are involved, the source added.

Easy Trip Planners

Easy Trip Planners’ promoter Nishant Pitti is likely to sell up to 8.5% of his stake in the company through block deals, with an estimated block size of Rs 622 crore, reported CNBC-TV18 citing sources.

MCX

The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has revised transaction fees for futures and options (F&O) contracts after a directive from the markets regulator Sebi. The new rates will be effective from next month.

Delta Corp 

Delta Corp has approved the demerger of its Hospitality and Real Estate Business into a new entity, Delta Penland Private Limited (DPPL). This move is to focus, unlock value and provide better growth opportunities for both businesses.

PC Jeweller Ltd has scheduled a board of directors meeting on Monday (September 30, 2024) to deliberate on key matters, including a possible stock split.

Gillette India 

Gillette India Ltd said Procter & Gamble Bangladesh Pvt Ltd has terminated the distribution agreement with the company, effective December 31, 2024.

Tata Power

Tata Power reported about a fire incident at its Trombay plant in Maharashtra. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no injuries or loss of life have been reported, said the company in an exchange filing.
