Gold, silver rate today, September 23: The gold MCX futures contracts with the October 2024 expiry were trading at Rs 74,014 per 10 gm.

Gold and silver rates today, September 23

The 24-carat gold rate in India was Rs 74,230 per 10 grams on September 23. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,423. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 68,044 per 10 grams.

The rate of 24-carat gold has risen by 1.20% in the last one week, and the yellow metal has risen by 1.63% in the last ten days. The silver is currently quoted at Rs 90,010 per kilogram.

Commenting on the gold outlook Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst – Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities said that Gold traded very positively, reaching an all-time high in Comex above $2,610, driven by strong liquidity inflows from the US Fed following a significant rate cut—the first since March 2020. The broad trend remains strongly positive, with the Fed signaling a data-driven approach, which supports the “buy on dips” strategy in the market.

Trivedi also added that In MCX, support for gold is seen around Rs 73,000-Rs 73,250, while resistance is at Rs 74,250-Rs 74,500. The outlook for gold continues to favor upward momentum, with further rate cuts likely boosting prices.

Gold rate in Mumbai on September 23

The glittering metal was quoted for a price of Rs 74,230/10 grams in Mumbai on September 23. On September 21, the price of gold was Rs 74,220//10 grams. Seven days back, on September 16, gold was trading for Rs 73,680/10 grams.

Silver rate in Mumbai on September 23

The shining metal silver was selling for a rate of Rs 90,010/Kg on September 23 in Mumbai. A day ago, the metal was priced at Rs 89,130/Kg and a week ago the price was Rs 89,400/Kg.
