Air India is set to launch its early morning flight between Nagpur and Mumbai on October 1, The Indian Express reported. This much-awaited flight AI 627, will depart Mumbai at 5 am and land in Nagpur at 6:35 am. The return flight, AI 628, will take off from Nagpur at 7:15 am and land in Mumbai at 8:35 am.

Mumbai-Nagpur flights
As of now, there are two morning flights available on the route and both are operated by IndiGo. One flight departs from Nagpur at 6:10 am., and the other at 8:15 am. However, in recent months, passenger numbers between the cities have surged, with demand now outpacing the capacity of these flights.

Air India had previously operated a morning flight between the two cities. However, it was discontinued about seven to eight months ago. The airline’s decision to reinstate the service is driven by increasing demand for more flight options between the two cities.
“There has been an increasing demand for additional flights, especially in the morning hours, as more passengers prefer early travel to Mumbai for business and other purposes,” a local travel consultant said.
