The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that water supply in northwest Delhi’s Rohini locality will be disrupted for 18 hours due to maintenance work. The affected areas include Rohini Sector-9, Sector-11, Sector-13, Sector-16, Sector-17, ESI Hospital, Rithala Village, and surrounding regions. The disruption will occur from 10 am on September 25 to 4 am on September 26 as a result of interconnection work on the 1100-mm diameter Rohini water main from Haiderpur Water Works-II.
“Due to interconnection works in the 1100-mm dia Rohini water main emanating from Haiderpur WW-II, the water supply shall remain affected from the morning of September 25 (10 am) to the morning of September 26 (4 am),” it said.
DJB has advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water in advance. Water tankers will be available on request through the DJB helpline or the central control room.
The shutdown is expected to impact daily routines, making it important for residents to store water in advance. “Residents of the affected areas are advised to make judicious use of water,” DJB said in its statement.

On September 20, parts of north and central Delhi faced a 12-hour water supply disruption on Friday due to a scheduled water supply line repair work.Localities that were likely affected include Civil Lines, Hindu Rao Hospital, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Pahar Ganj, Old and New Rajendra Nagar, Patel Nagar (east and west), Baljeet Nagar, Prem Nagar, Inderpuri, parts of Cantonment areas under the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and parts of south Delhi.
