PM Modi to launch India’s first 20-coach Vande Bharat Express train, Vande Metro and several other projects in Ahmedabad – Details inside

PM Modi is set to flag off India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch a series of landmark projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, including India’s first 20-coach Vande Bharat Express train on Monday (September 16). The Prime Minister’s visit will feature the inauguration of the country’s first Vande Metro, as well as several other Vande Bharat Express trains. These advancements are expected to enhance connectivity and travel comfort across these regions.

PM Modi is set to flag off the inaugural Vande Metro service from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, promising to revolutionise local commuting. Additionally, he will launch several new Vande Bharat Express trains on key routes, including Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the highly anticipated 20-coach Vande Bharat train running from Varanasi to Delhi.

PM to launch development projects worth Rs 8,000 crores

In conjunction with the rail projects, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development initiatives valued at over Rs. 8,000 crores. Key projects include the quadrupling of the Samakhiali–Gandhidham and Gandhidham–Adipur railway lines, aimed at boosting rail capacity and efficiency.

The development of major roads within Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the construction of flyover bridges at Bakrol, Hathijan, Ramol, and Panjarpol Junction are also on the agenda.

PM Modi will also inaugurate a 30 MW solar power system and a 35 Megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Solar PV Project at Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station. Additional infrastructure enhancements include the commissioning of 220 Kilovolt substations in Morbi and Rajkot.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will also sanction over 30,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) and release the first installment for these homes. He will also launch the construction of new houses under the PMAY Scheme and hand over completed homes to beneficiaries under both the Urban and Rural segments of the scheme.
