Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: The Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued an advisory ahead of the Ed-Milad procession, which is scheduled for September 16, anticipating a significant gathering at the YMCA ground on Nrupathunga Road. According to the traffic advisory, comprehensive traffic arrangements and restrictions have been implemented by the police to ensure smooth flow. Check the traffic restrictions and procession routes below.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: These routes will be used for the procession

  • Mahalingeshwara Layout to Adugodi
  • JC Nagar Dargah to Shivajinagar Cantonment
  • Geeta Junction to South End Circle
  • Bendre Junction to Obalappa Garden Junction
  • Bellahalli Cross to Nagawara Signal
  • Rajagopalnagar Main Road to Peenya 2nd Stage
  • Yelahanka Old Town Mosque to Yelahanka Old Town Mosque
  • Old Bus Stand to Sannamanikere
  • South End Circle to RV Road

It is worth noting that all the processions will end at YMCA ground, according to the Bengaluru Traffic Police advisory.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Traffic Restrictions

  • On September 16, vehicular movements from Nethaji Junction to Tannery Road will be prohibited.
  • Traffic Police has made Masque Junction to MM Road Junction route a temporarily one-way. Vehicles from Nethaji Junction can head towards Mosque Junction.
  • Vehicles coming from Nethaji Junction to Haines Junction will be restricted on September 16.
  • Partial restrictions will be applied to vehicles coming from Nagawara Junction towards Pottery Circle.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Alternative Routes

  • If you’re driving on Nrupathunga Road from K.R. Circle, please consider changing your route. You could go through Cubbon Park for Siddalingaiah Circle. Alternatively, make a right after the Central Library, then proceed in the direction opposite to normal traffic heading towards Hudson Circle.
  • If you’re driving along J.C. Road, it’s suggested to make your way towards Police Corner and K.G. Road. There are other routes you can take too. For instance, if you want to get to Richmond Circle or Residency Road, you can pass through P. K. Lane and O.T.C. Road.
  • Vehicles from Richmond Road heading to K.G. Road should use R.R.M.R. Road, Hudson Circle, and Police Corner.
  • If you’re traveling from Hudson Circle towards Cubbon Park, please note that the access is somewhat restricted; you’re only allowed to enter through the route that leads to Siddalingaiah Circle.
  • Vehicles coming from Mysore Road towards YMCA will be diverted to Sirsi Circle and Chamarajpet.
  • Commuters coming from Nethaji Circle towards Tannery Road can use Clarence Railway Overbridge and Lingarajapura Flyover.
  • Vehicles coming from Masque Junction should divert via Coles Road and Sanders Road to reach Haines Junction.
  • Traffic coming from Thanisandra to Shivajinagar will be diverted to Hennur Junction and Siddappareddy Junction.
  • Vehicles coming from Shivajinagar to Nagawara will be diverted via Spenser Road and Coles Road.
  • Traffic from R.T. Nagar via K.B. Sandra will be turned left at Veerannapalya Junction towards Nagawara.
