Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded higher as the index was up 48 points or 0.19% at 25,396 indicating a positive start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Friday. Previously, on Thursday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 470 points or 1.89% higher at 25,389, while the BSE Sensex rose 1,440 points or 1.77% to close at 82,963.

Adani Enterprises

Swiss authorities have frozen more than $310 million across multiple Swiss bank accounts as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation into entities allegedly linked to the Adani Group, according to Gotham City, a Swiss investigative news website. The link to the report was posted on X by Hindenburg Research.

Engineers India

State-run engineering consultancy and EPC company, Engineers India Ltd has secured new business worth Rs 4,681 crore so far this fiscal year taking its order book to Rs 11,350 crore, as of August 31, the company’s Chairman and Managing Director Vartika Shukla said on Wednesday. The major expansion in the order book is attributed to increased orders from the upstream and infrastructure segments, she said.

Tata Power

Tata Power’s subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy has signed an MoU with Tata Motors to set up 200 fast charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in all metro cities.

BLS International Services 

BLS International Services has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Citizenship Invest, a Dubai-based advisory firm for $31 million (approximately Rs 260 crore).

SBI Cards and Payment Services 

SBI Cards and Payment Services announced that its board of directors will meet on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, to discuss and approve a proposal to raise funds amounting to Rs 5,000 crore through the issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs).

Puravankara 

Puravankara, a Bengaluru-based realty firm,  has acquired the redevelopment rights of Miami Apartments at Breach Candy. Spread over about 2,000 square metres of land, this marks the developer’s entry into the uber-luxury South Mumbai market, where rates (as per market sources) are estimated in the range of Rs 1,25,000 and Rs 1,40,000 per square foot.

H G Infra Engineering 

H G Infra Engineering received confirmation from Central Railway regarding the appointed date for its project involving the construction of a new broad gauge line between Dhule (Borvihir) and Nardana in Maharashtra, spanning approximately 49.45 km.

Patanjali Foods 

Patanjali Foods is set to raise up to $240 million through a block trade on Friday, September 13. The transaction involves the sale of a 3% stake in the firms, with a floor price of Rs 1,815 per share. 

LIC

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has hiked its stake in Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to about 9.3%. In a regulatory filing, LIC said its holding in the railway sector ‘miniratna’ PSU had increased by 2.02% from December 16, 2022, to September 11, 2024, via open market purchases.
