AAP’s initial batch of 20 candidates was revealed on Monday after the party’s seat-sharing negotiations with Congress fell through. The deadline for nominations is September 12, with elections for the 90-member Haryana Assembly scheduled for October 5.

In the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year, Congress and AAP teamed up in Delhi but ran independently in Punjab. AAP had contested one seat in Haryana’s general elections without success. In the 2019 Haryana assembly elections, AAP contested 46 seats but did not win any.
