Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded lower as the index was down 27 points or 0.11% at 25,087 indicating a negative start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Wednesday. Previously, on Tuesday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 105 points or 0.42% higher at 25,041, while the BSE Sensex rose 362 points or 0.44% to close at 81,921.

Stocks to watch on September 11, 2024

Tata Motors

On Tuesday, the Competition Commission of India announced that it approved the merger of Tata Motor Finance with Tata Capital. The merger, announced in June, will see Tata Capital issue its equity shares to the shareholders of Tata Motor Finance resulting in Tata Motors effectively holding a 4.7% stake in the merged entity.

Reliance Industries

Reliance Retail Ventures has entered into an equal joint venture with Israel’s Delta Galil Industries that will expand the company’s presence in India, a statement said.

HDFC Bank and Axis Bank

The RBI fined HDFC Bank Rs 1.91 crore and penalised Axis Bank Rs 1 crore. The central bank said in a statement that HDFC Bank has been charged a penalty for non-compliance with certain directions of RBI on interest rates on deposits, recovery agents engaged by banks and customer service in banks.

IREDA

IREDA said its wholly-owned subsidiary IREDA Global Green Energy Finance IFSC Ltd has been granted provisional registration as a finance company by the International Financial Services Centre Authority (IFSCA).

Jubilant Pharmova 

Jubilant Pharmova said its subsidiary, Jubilant HollisterStier LLC, has received a communication from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding its Spokane, Washington, contract manufacturing facility.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories 

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has clarified allegations over its engagement with Agora Advisory, the consulting firm owned by Sebi chair Mabhabi Buch and her husband, calling the accusations ‘baseless and malafide’.

Pidilite Industries

Pidilite Industries issued a statement clarifying its interaction with Dhaval Buch, adding that the company engages with multiple partners and consultants who are renowned in their respective fields, and there have never been any enquiries from Sebi for the company. Pidilite had engaged with Agora Advisory for Dhaval Buch’s services as a supply chain and procurement professional.

PC Jeweller 

PC Jeweller received a refund of Rs 67.54 crore from the Income Tax Department, credited to its account on September 6.
