Reliance Jio has launched yet another budget phone in India called the JioPhone Prima 2. Successor to the last year’s JioPhone Prima 4G, the Prima 2 comes with a larger battery, updated design and other upgrades.

JioPhone Prima 2 price and availability
JioPhone Prima 2 carries a price tag of Rs 2,799. Similar to other JioPhones, JioPhone Prima 2 is compatible with Jio SIMs (limited to 4G).
The company is offering special recharge plans for JioPhones. One such plan is a Rs 91 plan coming with a validity of 28 days and 100MB of data per day with unlimited calling. In addition, there is a Rs 152 plan, which offers half a GB of 4G data per day for 28 days. Further, there is an annual plan of Rs 895 with a validity of 336 days, offering 2GB data per 28 days.

JioPhone Prima 2 specifications
The handset features a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. JioPhone Prima 2 comes powered by an unspecified Qualcomm processor paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage capacity. It comes with a microSD card to expand the storage capacity up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the Prima 2 has a 0.3MP (VGA) camera at the front, which can be used for video calling without a third-party app requirement. The JioPhone Prima 2 runs on KaiOS 2.5.3. It comes with access to a range of apps like YouTube, Facebook, and Google Assistant, along with Jio’s own suite of apps, such as JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSaavn for entertainment.

On the connectivity front, the phone offers 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB 2.0 port. The JioPhone Prima 2 measures 123.4 x 55.5 x 15.1mm and weighs 120g.
