Weather Update: IMD issues orange alert for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, heavy rainfall expected across India

The IMD has warned that there will be heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and eastern Madhya Pradesh.

The India Meteorological Department in its latest weather bulletin has informed that heavy rainfall is expected in Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next two days. An orange alert for the same has been issued for both states. The IMD has warned that there will be heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and eastern Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, some regions in northeastern and eastern India are also likely to experience heavy rainfall on Thursday. (Sept 5).

Heavy rainfall forecast for Central & Western India

The IMD has warned that there might be heavy rainfall in Chhattisgarh in the next seven days. Kutch, Saurashtra, and East Madhya Pradesh are likely to receive heavy showers from Sept 5 to Sept 6. Similar weather conditions might be prevalent in Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, and Konkan from Sept 5 to Sept 8.

Southern India to get heavy showers

Intense heavy downpours are expected to occur in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam on Sept 5. The weather conditions are expected to continue like this in Telangana, Yanam, North Interior Karnataka, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh from Sept 5 to Sept 8. Likewise, South Interior Karnataka is expected to get it from Sept 5 to Sept 7.

IMD heavy rainfall warning for Northeast and Eastern India

The Met Department has predicted that isolated heavy rains may happen in Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, and Assam in the upcoming seven days. Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh might receive heavy showers from Sept 5 to Sept 6. Bihar is predicted to get it on Sept 5 and Sept 6 whereas Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal will get it today. Odisha might experience it from Sept 5 to Sept 8.

Heavy rainfall alert for Northwest India

Isolated heavy downpours are anticipated in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand from Sept 5 to Sept 8. A similar weather pattern is likely to exist in East Uttar Pradesh from Sept 5 to Sept 6 and West Uttar Pradesh may get it today (Sept 5).
