Samsung has quietly unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Galaxy A06, in India. Part of the popular A-series, the Galaxy A06 is packed with a bunch of quality-of-life features including a big screen and big battery, all for a wallet-friendly price that starts at just Rs 9,999.

This new entry-level device boasts a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen, offering a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. You get a waterdrop-style notch in this phone.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A06 is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor paired with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50MP rear camera, which comes with an f/1.8 aperture along with a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The Galaxy A06 also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Running on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI, the Galaxy A06 is confirmed to get two major OS and four years of security updates. Connectivity options are robust, including dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. And for those who still appreciate the classics, there’s even a 3.5mm audio jack.
Battery life won’t be an issue, thanks to the massive 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, though there is no charger in the box.

Available in Light Blue, Black, and Golden colours, the Galaxy A06 is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 4GB/64GB model, with the 128GB variant costing Rs 11,499. You can already grab one from Samsung India’s eStore, with offline availability expected soon.
