New Delhi: The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Dates(Tentative)
The JEE (Main) – 2024 was conducted in two sessions for admissions in the next academic session – January and April. According to past trends, the JEE Main exam date is likely to be released this month. However, this is tentative. Neither NTA officials nor the UGC Chairman has made an official announcement regarding this. The National Testing Agency(NTA) released the examination calendar for the academic year 2024-25 on September 14, 2023. The NTA exam calendar pdf included the name of the examination, mode of examination, and dates of examination.
Once the examination dates are released, candidates can access the JEE Main 2025 notification at nta.ac.in and https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/. The examination specific details shall be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of the launch of the registration forms of these examinations. JEE (Main) – will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Calendar: Check Number of Attempts, Registration Dates Update
The JEE (Main) – will conducted in two sessions for admissions in the next academic session. The candidates will thus benefit in the following ways: This will give the candidates two opportunities to improve their scores in the examination if they are not able to give their best in the first attempt. If anyone misses the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as the Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait for one entire year. A candidate need not appear in both Sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the JEE (Main) – 2024 NTA Scores will be considered for preparation of the Merit List/ Ranking.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Calendar: Check Number of Attempts, Registration Dates Update
Last year, the NTA released the JEE Main registration form on November 1. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Under no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form.

Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians’ only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of NTA www.nta.ac.in for the latest updates.
