The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for the July 2024 admissions yet again. The last date to apply has now been set as September 10, 2024. All interested and eligible candidates can apply for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) courses through the official website of the university at ignouadmissions.samarth.edu.in.
“Extension of last date for July, 2024 Fresh Admission till 10th Sept, 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for July, 2024 session (except for Semester based and Certificate programmes),” reads the notice on the official website.

IGNOU JULY ADMISSIONS 2024: DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
Candidates must upload scanned copies of the below-mentioned documents when applying for the Online or Open and Distance Learning programmes:
— Scanned copy of photograph
— Scanned copy of signature
— Educational qualifications certificates
— Category certificate (if any)

IGNOU JULY ADMISSIONS 2024: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
— For UG admissions at IGNOU, a student must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from any recognised educational board.
— For the Postgraduate or PG courses, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 per cent marks
— To apply for Diploma or Certificate courses, students must have done class 12 from a recognized board.
— Admissions will be given on the basis of the merit list for all courses, except PhD, Bed, and PBScN.
IGNOU JULY ADMISSIONS 2024: HOW TO APPLY?
Step 1: Visit the official website of the IGNOU at ignouadmissions.samarth.edu.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look out for the ‘July Admissions 2024’ tab and click on it.
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page featuring Online and ODL programme links.
Step 4: Choose your preferred programme, fill in the application form, and submit all the required documents.
Step 5: Deposit the application fee and you’re done.
Step 6: Download the application form and take a printout of it on an A-4-sized sheet of paper for future reference.
IGNOU JULY ADMISSIONS 2024: APPLICATION FEE
All the candidates applying for any UG, PG, or Diploma programmes at IGNOU need to deposit a registration fee of Rs 300. “An amount equivalent to 15% of the programme fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs.2,000/-, will be deducted from the fee paid in case the request for cancellation is received after the confirmation of admission,” reads the official notice by IGNOU.
