The government has introduced a new simplified pension application form, ‘Bhavishya,’ designed to streamline the retirement process for central government employees.

Available on the Bhavishya and e-HRMS portals, the form will be accessible to all central government employees retiring from December 2024 onwards.

The Bhavishya initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, aims to ensure that all retirement dues and the Pension Payment Order (PPO) are processed and delivered on the day of retirement.

The Bhavishya system allows for the online tracking of pension sanctions and payment processes by both the retiring employees and administrative authorities.

Singh said that the simplified form is a crucial step in the government’s “maximum governance-minimum government” initiative, furthering the goal of easing the lives of citizens and pensioners.
