Triumph Daytona 660 launched in India: Price, engine specs, features and more

Triumph Motorcycles has officially launched the new Daytona 660 in India, priced at Rs 9.72 lakh, ex-showroom. The model is available in three colour options to choose from, namely, Snowdonia White, Satin Granite, and Carnival Red. It borrows its platform from the Trident 660 Roadster but has distinctive design elements.

Triumph Daytona 660: Design and engine

Speaking of design, the bike features a split LED headlight setup, a transparent windscreen, a muscular fuel tank, and a sleek tail section. Its full fairing features sharp lines and creases. Triumph is offering customers the option to further customize their Daytona 660 with over 30 accessories.

At the heart of the Daytona 660 is a 660 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the same powerplant that drives the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. However, in this model, the engine is tuned to deliver 96.3 hp and 69 Nm of torque. Interestingly, 80 percent of the torque is available with the crank spinning a little over 3,100 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox that includes a bi-directional quickshifter.

Triumph Daytona 660: Hardware and features

In terms of hardware, the Daytona 660 features 41mm Showa Separate Function Fork – Big Piston USD forks in the front and a Showa monoshock with preload adjustment at the rear. For stopping power, it uses twin 310mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc.

The Daytona 660 comes loaded with modern technology to enhance both performance and safety. It features a ride-by-wire throttle and three riding modes—Sport, Rain, and Road—that cater to different riding conditions. The bike is equipped with a color TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, providing turn-by-turn navigation, traction control, and dual-channel ABS.
