IIT JAM 2025 registration to begin from September 3, details here

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the schedule for the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2025. Registration for JAM 2025 will commence on September 3, 2024. Prospective students aiming for admission to various master’s programmes for the academic year 2025-26 can apply online via the JAM application portal at joaps.iitd.ac.in.

The registration deadline for the test is Friday, October 11, 2024. The examination is scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025.

JAM 2025 will be held as a Computer-Based Test covering seven subjects: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).

The exam will be conducted in over 100 cities nationwide.

HOW TO APPLY FOR IIT JAM 2025 REGISTRATION

To apply for IIT JAM 2025 registration, follow these steps:

  • Go to the official IIT JAM 2025 website (usually jam.iitk.ac.in or a similar URL depending on the organising IIT)
  • Register on the website by providing your basic details such as name, email address, and contact information to create an account
  • Log in to your account and complete the online application form. You will need to provide personal details, educational qualifications, and choice of programmes
  • Upload the required documents, which may include a recent photograph, signature, and any other necessary certificates
  • Pay the application fee online using the available payment methods. The fee amount will vary based on your category and the number of programs you are applying for
  • Review your application form and ensure all the information is correct. Submit the application form before the deadline
  • After submission, download and print the confirmation page for your records.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or are in their final year of undergraduate studies are eligible to apply for JAM 2025. There is no age limit for applicants. Foreign nationals with an Indian degree may also apply, subject to the policies of the admitting institute.

Candidates who appear in the JAM 2025 merit list will be eligible for admission to approximately 3,000 seats across various postgraduate programmes at IITs and over 2,000 seats at IISc, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT through CCMN.

These admissions will be for a range of Master’s programmes, including MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree, available at these institutions.
