Reportedly, for the first time in India, users can now list their tickets for resale on the Zomato app if their plans shift.
Zomato, known for its food delivery services, is shifting into event ticketing with its new ‘Book Now, Sell Anytime’ feature. This development aims to simplify ticket purchases and resales, offering users a flexible approach to managing event plans.
The feature tackles common issues with advanced ticket bookings, such as unexpected schedule changes or unforeseen conflicts. Reportedly, for the first time in India, users can now list their tickets for resale on the Zomato app if their plans shift. The resale price can be adjusted up to twice the current phase price on the ticketing platform.

Here’s how it works-
Customers can buy tickets for upcoming events as soon as they are available. If plans change, they can list their tickets on the app at a price they set, within a cap of twice the current phase price. Once a ticket is sold, Zomato will cancel the original and issue a new one to the buyer. The seller receives the listed price, minus applicable taxes.
To prevent misuse, Zomato has put in place some rules. Customers can buy and list up to 10 tickets per category, with the resale price capped based on the current phase price or the final phase price if sold out. For example, if an Early Bird ticket is bought for Rs. 1,000 and the current price is Rs. 2,000, it can be resold for up to Rs. 4,000.
