The latest word on the street is that the movie’s release, initially set for December 2023, has now been pushed back to the 6th of June, 2025.
The Housefull franchise is coming up with its fifth edition featuring actor Akshay Kumar and an exciting new addition Fardeen Khan who’ll be shining alongside Riteish Deshmukh. As per the buzz from Bollywood Hungama, it appears Jacqueline Fernandez has bagged the leading lady spot next to Akshay Kumar for their next silver screen venture.
Bollywood Hungama has recently shared news that Jacqueline is speculated to star opposite Akshay Kumar in the future film, Housefull 5 cited an inside source. “Jacqueline is excited to return to the Housefull franchise. She enjoys the comic space and is ecstatic to continue her association with Sajid Nadiadwala and the Housefull Franchise,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. The source further added that Sajid is in talks with three other top actresses to come on board the film, and an official announcement will be made shortly.”
Initially the film was expected to hit theatres by December 2024, how due to multiple reasons the the release date of the movie has been bumped back. Now, movie-goers should mark their calendars for June 6, 2025. This shake-up in schedule was officially announced by the movie’s producer, Sajid Nadiadwala. “The Houseful franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025.”

The Housefull franchise first graced the big screen in 2010, starring the charismatic Akshay Kumar and an ensemble cast including Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, and Chunky Panday. The film’s sequel was welcomed by fans in 2012, and succeeded by Housefull 3 and 4 in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
