A 17-year-old girl died after falling off the third floor balcony of her house in Dabri Extension area of Sagarpur in southwest Delhi. The tragic incident was caught on CCTV.

New Delhi: A teenage girl tragically fell to her death while she was fetching clothes from the balcony on the third floor of her house in Sagarpur area of southwest Delhi. The tragic incident, which took place on late Wednesday evening, was captured on a CCTV camera in the area, and showed the 17-year-old girl falling on the road.
The CCTV clip, which has been widely circulated on social media platforms, showed the teen falling from the balcony on the road below as people gather at the spot.

Delhi Police- As per statements of family on 21/08/2024, she was fetching clothes hanging on the rope of balcony for drying where she slipped, fell down and sustained injuries. was declared brought dead.

The 17-year-old sustained critical injuries due to the fall and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Giving details, a senior police officer said they received a call at 7:12 PM on Wednesday about a girl falling off a balcony in the Dabri Extension area of Sagarpur.

“The injured girl was taken to the DDU Hospital where doctors declared her dead,” the officer said, adding that at present, no foul play is suspected and prima facie it appears to be a case of accidental death.
Citing statements from the deceased girl’s family members, the officer said the teenager, who lived with her parents and two siblings, was retrieving clothes from a line on the third floor balcony when she slipped and fell on the road below.
The family, which originally hails from Haryana, said the deceased suffered from ill mental health, and was undergoing treatment in Panipat.
“As of now, no foul play is suspected and the matter is being investigated from all angles after registering a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita,” police said.
