Xiaomi has silently launched a new Redmi phone in India. The phone in question, called the Redmi A3X, is an entry-level offering. It’s essentially a less powerful—and by extension, more affordable—Redmi A3. The Redmi A3 was launched in India in February.
The Redmi A3X boasts of the same “halo” design as the Redmi A3 with a rounded camera assembly somewhat reminiscent of Xiaomi’s pricier ultra-flagship phones.
You can get it in a choice of three colours — olive green, ocean green, midnight black, and starry white. The last three are seemingly made of glass while the first uses fake leather. Biometrics are handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
