Mahindra Thar Roxx Launched: After a long wait, Mahindra & Mahindra has finally launched the 5-door Thar in India on the occasion of Independence Day, August 15. The official name of this newly launched 5-door SUV is Mahindra Thar Roxx. Prior to the launch, the company had teased the available color options on social media. Now, the price and other key details have also been revealed.
The starting price for the manual petrol base model of the new Thar is set at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the manual diesel base model starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, actor John Abraham was present at the event when the prices were announced.
The 5-door Thar comes equipped with several upgrades compared to the 3-door version. It features a larger touchscreen infotainment system and boasts a generous 644 liters of boot space. Previous concerns about space and comfort in the older Thar have been addressed in this new version. The Thar Roxx also comes with ADAS Level 2 safety features and includes 9 high-performance speakers for an enhanced audio experience.
Other standout features include a fully digital instrument console, ventilated seats, Harman Kardon audio system, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera view, and blind spot monitoring. Additionally, the new Thar features a sunroof, soft-touch materials, and ADAS Level 2 safety enhancements. Through the ADRENOX Connect app, users can access over 80 connected features.
One of the highlights of the new Thar Roxx is the panoramic sunroof, a first for the Thar series. Mahindra had previously shared images showcasing this feature, which enhances the driving experience.
The 5-door SUV is available in seven colors: Stealth Black, Tango Red, Everest White, Burnt Sienna, Battleship Grey, Nebula Blue, Deep Forest.
The 5-door Thar also introduces a new digital display, making it easier for drivers to access crucial information. The tech-savvy infotainment system includes features like navigation, while the soft leather dashboard adds a touch of luxury to the cabin. Moreover, the Harman Kardon audio system, known for its premium sound quality, enhances the in-car entertainment experience. Front ventilated seats further add to the comfort, a feature typically available only in select premium vehicles.
